Some Of My Favourite Things…

It’s nearly winter time in London and the temperatures just keep on dropping. Trying to fight those ‘mean reds’ (as Holly Golightly so elegantly puts them in Breakfast At Tiffany’s), I am often in search of cute, delicious or simply beautiful things to make me happy on cold afternoons.

Here are a few of the things that are keeping me warm, sweet and smiling this autumn… xx

What is making you happy right now? xx

Chanel Oh La La in today’s Espresso Shot Of News…

Chanel is my true fashion love. My crème de la crème. Anyone wearing or talking Chanel instantly captures my undivided attention.

Last weekend Chanel Fine Jewellery sponsored the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Arts gala. Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Rachel Bilson and Ginnifer Goodwin all attended wearing Chanel. Kate Bosworth and Ginnifer Goodwin looked stunning in black gowns, while Rachel Bilson chose a look from the Cruise 2010 collection (also worn by Georgia Jagger in the ad campaign). Kirsten Dunst wore a white full length gown and striking red lips to ooze Old-Hollywood glamour.

Chanel Spring/Summer 2011

Decedent, intense and undeniably beautiful, the Chanel Spring / Summer 2011 was pure perfection collection. The collection took inspiration from the Last Year at Marienbad, a film from the early sixties in which Chanel herself originally designed the costumes for Delphine Seyrig (the leading lady). With an epic 87 looks, the runway show went for 18 minutes and was accompanied by the sound of a full orchestra of 80 musicians.

As for the clothes… well they were everything a Chanel dream is made of. Incredibly beautiful, exquisite detailing and heaven sent! This collection also had an unexpected cool – Chanel suits were expertly moth-eaten, denim was frayed, there were digital floral prints and feather embroidery.

It was pure luxury on the Chanel catwalk xx

Georgia May Jagger –
The Name On Everyone’s Lips…

With an instantly recognisable gap-toothed smile, Georgia May Jagger has become one of the standout models of the year. The ‘IT’ girl of the moment…

Now the face of the Chanel Cruise Collection and the December Vogue Australia cover girl; Jagger seems to be taking the world by storm. Jagger is the youngest daughter of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger. At 5’7″, the eighteen year old model is an aspiring photographer and is currently living in New York with her elder sister, Lizzy Jagger. She is also set to launch her first fashion collaboration with denim label Hudson in Spring 2011 (click here to read more)

During the Chanel Cruise collection runway show, Jagger appeared on the back of a motorbike. For the advertising campaign, Jagger poses alongside Baptiste Giabiconi and a Rolls-Royce. Her sultry pout and glamorous side taking centre stage.

For the cover of Vogue Australia, Jagger is wearing a Louis Vuitton Silk Tulle dress and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci boots. Completely divine!

A what a gorgeous cover… xx
