Embrace fractured embellishments; knee-high boots; and spacesuit metallics as designers channel a Science Fiction fantasy…

From Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel to Donatella Versace; designers worked with high tech fabrics, strong textures and exaggerated silhouettes to create a fashion forward vision.

At Chanel, models explored a subterranean landscape in looks fit for intergalactic domination.

Structured coats in heavy fabrics were the perfect base for heavy embellishment. While fractured crystal pieces featured dramatically on hems and cuffs.

Adding to the futuristic appeal of this collection were some seriously extraordinary brows. Created by Lesage, the iconic couture embroidery house, strips of tiny crystals defined each model’s brows with hypnotic allure. Make-up was kept fresh and dewy; while hair was pulled back in sleek ponytails.

Meanwhile, shining metallics evoked futuristic exploration at Lanvin – perfect for polished space cadets. While at Versace, knee-high boots, fitted jackets and interesting shapes – created a sophisticated siren appeal…

Will you embrace the Science Fiction Fashion Fantasy? xx

What I Wore…

The day after my Birthday Shopping Spree!

I have had a truly wonderful week! Last week I turned 26 and I had a positively brilliant birthday! It also marked the ‘half way’ point of my pregnancy.

For my birthday I was truly spoiled. I received many beautiful gifts (many of which I wore today!) and also received quite a few David Jones Gift Vouchers – which I very much enjoyed spending on my Shopping Spree Sunday.

Today I wore my new blue and white striped Seafolly dress; Mimco yellow ballet flats; Mimco long white necklace; and Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipstick in shade 134.

As many of you may already know…. I love a beautiful stripe. So when I saw this Seafolly dress yesterday it was love at first sight. Classic, elegant and with a chic minimalism –stripes are one of my wardrobe must-haves. The loose ‘beachy’ silhouette of this dress is perfect for my growing bubby bump and it is also the perfect length (at 5’4″ most maxi dresses are too long for me)…

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! xx
