Blake Lively Married In
Custom Marchesa

While it was originally reported Blake Lively had walked down the isle in Chanel, when she married Ryan Reynolds over the weekend, it has been announced the gown was actually custom-made Marchesa.

The gown featured a “hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery”. Marchesa also created the bridesmaid dresses, which were blush silk chiffon with crystal detailing. On her toes, Lively wore specially made heels by her close friend Christian Louboutin (who previously named a shoe style after her).

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds and his groomsmen chose bespoke suits from Burberry complete with leather suspenders.

Zac Posen’s High Glamour / High Drama

Naomi Campbell, Erin O’Connor, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha all turned out to walk the Zac Posen spring/summer 2013 runway show yesterday in New York.

The super and top models united to bring their high glamour and experience to the designer’s show-stopping gowns which are known for their Old-Hollywood glamour.  However, there was as much drama occurring in the audience. Taking Great Strides

“Dresses have become too trendy, I’m convinced by trousers.” Miuccia Prada

The message from the Autumn / Winter runways was clear. Trousers are in. Chic, smart and effortlessly cool – there is no better time to embrace trousers.

A trend that can enhance your weekend and working wardrobe, elegantly cut trousers are the latest style staple. From the wide-leg palazzo designs at Celine to Isabel Marant’s low-slung skinnies – trousers whatever their silhouette are having a moment.

From cigarette pants to slouchy boyfriend jeans, pyjama styles to sharply tailored chinos – trousers evoke a nonchalant cool factor that has the world’s most stylish in a spin. Created in sumptuous fabrics; daring prints; and in a palette of dynamic shades, this season trousers have taken on a distinctly pretty, feminine feel.

Irrespective of the shape, the key to this trend is all in the hemline. Cut just above the ankle, this crucial hem length gives that extra hint of delicate skin and a fresh femininity.

But how to wear them? Bring out your show-stopping heels, eye-catching belts and statement handbags. Embrace tailoring on top to sharpen the look. A crisp shirt or structured blazer is always smart. Alternatively, choose a sweater or fine cotton tee in a clashing colour for loud, high-impact chic.
