January Inspiration

Just a few of the things that are making me smile this month…

Bonjour Bunnies!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a truly wonderful Christmas and a very successful start to 2012.

This month is very exciting for me. My first online store will be launching at CaraGray.com with my first collection of fashion inspired artworks available for purchase. I have been working on ‘The Woman Of Paris’ collection for quite some time and cannot wait for you to see all of my pieces. I am beyond excited and cannot wait to get underway. But more on this over the coming days…

I will also be back to posting daily on Uptown Twirl; writing a few guest articles for other fashion websites; & giving the Espresso Shots Of Fashion News an Uptown comeback!

Love Cara xx

P.s. What is currently on your inspirations list?

Fashion Editorial

Iconic, Timeless 40’s Glamour

Entitled ‘In The Mode’, this Vogue Australia editorial channels the romantic nostalgia of 1940’s dressing perfectly.

Continuing on from my previous article on the 40’s trend for Fall, this editorial, featuring Barbara Palvin, captures the classic glamour and timeless beauty of this bygone era.

With ultra feminine pieces that exude lady-like elegance, Palvin wears looks by Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta, amongst others. Her loose 40’s pin curls bring a softness and romanticism to the photos; while her dark eye make-up and red lip conjures a sexy, strong, sophistication.

Vogue Australia perfectly introduces the editorial with: ‘The romance of the past is rendered modern by a divine melange of print, texture and shape.’

Enjoy your Sunday xx

The Divine Carrie Bradshaw

Last night I re-watched the last two episodes of Sex and the City Season 6 (An American Girl In Paris (Part Une) and An American Girl In Paris (Part Deux)) and my love affair with Carrie Bradshaw’s impeccable style has been reignited with a sensational passion!

I have become utterly enchanted with her take on chic, whimsical Parisian dressing.

From classic black and white stripes (pictured above); to her breathtaking evening gown (pictured right); to that romantic polka dot red dress in which Carrie eats decedent desserts  – the fashion and styling is these two episodes alone is très magnifique!

Love, Love, Love Carrie’s Parisian wardrobe and the alluring, intoxicating beauty of the ‘City Of Lights’…

Which fictional character is your most stylish? xx
