An Uptown Twirl Update…
Dear Readers,
Firstly I would like to say a very special thank you for reading Uptown Twirl. It has been amazing getting to know so many of you on Facebook and Twitter and reading all of your comments and emails.
2011 is a massive year for both Uptown Twirl and myself. My recent trip to Australia, from London, has been prolonged and I will be on the Gold Coast for the next few months. During my stay I am so excited to immerse myself in Australian Fashion and will be bringing you all of the details from my adventure! From Rosemount Australian Fashion Week to designers I think you should know; plus all of the usual Uptown Twirl news, trends and more; 2011 is set to be an amazing year!

The Uptown Twirl Manifesto
Uptown Twirl is fashion community that is blazing a trail in the online fashion industry. It aspires to shine the light on Fashion talent from around the world – whether that be fashion designers, bloggers, photographers, models or other industry experts.
Aiming to take the ‘cold stare’ out of this elusive world, Uptown Twirl delivers delicious scoops of fashion news served daily. Putting a fresh twist on fashion, trends and style; Uptown Twirl aims to inspire readers and take the fear factor out of fashion.
Miss Uptown Twirl

In the coming weeks Uptown TV will be returning to UptownTwirl.com! You may recall last year I interviewed Stacy Igel, Founder / Creative Director of Boy Meets Girl®, as well as reporting on fashion trends and news. Uptown TV 2011 will see me interview a host of other Designers and Fashion Industry experts to bring you the latest news and a behind the scenes sneak peak at everything fashionable. Over the coming weeks, UptownTwirl.com will be undergoing some design updates. My aim is to keep Uptown Twirl as fresh, fabulous and fashionably fun as possible while keeping it user friendly and ultra chic! Stay posted to see.

What I wore…
… On New Years Eve To Welcome In 2011
On New Years Eve Day, I was in a sore state of bad sunburn (my new pale ‘English’ skin didn’t like the beach) and over-indulgence from a fabulous festive season; however, I was definitely ready to welcome in 2011 in style. A year I am certain will be my best one yet!
To my New Years Eve party I wore a newly purchased Jayson Brunsdon skirt – which I just love! The texture of the fabric is divine and it is the perfect twirling skirt! The volume and shape = fabulous 50’s inspired chic! Worn with my black mary-jane heels and a Cue top in a delicious shade of watermelon pink! This has to be one of my favourite colours – so fresh, summery and fun!

Editor’s Letter
My 2010…
Looking Back On An Extraordinary Year
2010 was a massive year for me! I moved across the world to London from the Gold Coast; had my first year of married life; and started Uptown Twirl!
Moving to another country is an amazing experience that is extremely rewarding yet ever so challenging. Living in Brighton and then in Belsize Park, North London; I have so many amazing memories that can never be replaced. Buying Cupcakes from Selfridges every Saturday; taking walks around Hampstead (and spotting our future home) in the snow; taking the tube everywhere; celebrating special occasions at The Ivy; always shopping on Hampstead & Oxford Street (Whistles most frequently); and falling in love with the incredible city that is London! And as for married life…. I couldn’t be more happy, inspired or in love!
Since starting Uptown Twirl in mid-July this year, my life has become a fashionable whirlwind where every day I am transported into a magical world of all things exquisite! With Uptown Twirl, I have met some incredible people; attended some amazing events; and even sat front row at London Fashion Week! Next year Uptown Twirl is going to the next level. I have so many new and exciting things to share with you and I cannot wait! But more on this in the coming days…
And finally, I would like to say a very special thank you to everyone who visits Uptown Twirl. I am so appreciative of all your comments, emails and feedback. I love receiving them and chatting with so many of you on Facebook and Twitter.
