What I Wore Today…

I had been saving this dress for a rainy day… & today was the day I finally decided to bring it out of the closet

I purchased this dress nearly a year ago {on the same shopping trip that saw me buy my Carla Zampatti ball gown for the Alex Perry AEIOU event}. I love it, but have never quite found the perfect occasion to wear it. So I just decided it was time to stop waiting and wear it somewhere!

The 50’s shape is so divine and I adore the netting and the layers of silk chiffon in the skirt. It’s so fun and whimsical – perfect for twirling!

I wore my Carla Zampatti cocktail dress with my Mollini heels and Prada handbag.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! xx

What I Wore…

For a day of Christmas shopping & a lovely dinner with my husband…

With only 7 sleeps until Christmas (my absolute favourite day of the year), it was by far time to do my Christmas gift shopping! Yes I always leave it until the last minute! And with quite a few lovely people to buy for, I ventured out with my ‘gift ideas list’ and brought some darling things. Now I cannot wait to start wrapping!

Oh and other very, very, very exciting news… the new Uptown Twirl website will finally be launching online within the next day or so! So stay posted! I cannot wait for all of you to see it!

Love Cara xx

p.s. Hope you are all having a very Merry Christmas!

A Versace Brunch…

On Sunday I enjoyed a delightful brunch at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast.

Pancakes with strawberries, elaborately beautiful chandeliers, and pretty décor – made for a wonderful way to begin the day.

The Versace hotel was the first Fashion Branded Hotel in the world when it opened in 2000 and is the only 8-star Hotel. If you ever visit the Gold Coast, it is a must see for glamorous relaxation or a lovely high tea.

What is your favourite way to start a Sunday? xx
