This Autumn / Winter will see handbags taking on a much more refined simplicity. As seen at Celine, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Marni and more – handbags were kept minimal and lacked the flashy logos and decorative bits and pieces that have been fashionable for the last few years.

The shapes of these handbags also moved away from being slouchy and oversized. Autumn / Winter collections showed medium sized, structured bags that can be held perfectly at your side. The handbag colour palette matched the runway trends of beige, camel, browns and greys– perfect for autumn but also transitioning throughout the seasons.

My personal opinion on these bags, is that they are great investment pieces to add to your wardrobe that will appear chic and timeless for many years to come. There is a lady like sophistication about all of these handbags and I think that they are everything you want in a designer handbag, while also being smart and practical.
