It’s Time To Fall In line – Military Trends

This summer everyone is again taking about the Military trend. It was featured in the July issue of UK Vogue’s “In Vogue” section and on the catwalks designers gave us many extremes to introduce this look into our wardrobes… from full on camouflage prints to khaki coloured separates.

I think the Christian Doir Pre-Fall 2010 show is my absolute all time favourite interpretation of the Military trend. It has taken this trend and in my eyes made it oh-so sexy, fun and feminine.

The Thin Belt Returns

For the last however many seasons the wide belt has been the ‘IT’ item to own, to: 1. accessorise your outfit, while, 2. drawing attention to a slim waist. However, for Autumn / Winter 2010 the thin belt made a comeback. A look that is set to clinch in your waist with a fresh refined elegance, minimal aesthetic and give a nod to simpler, classic dressing.

Worn high on the waist or loose and slighter lower, the thin belt brought a breath of fresh air to the collections.  Skinny belts feed through belt loops or worn tight at the waist over dresses / shirts, emphasise tiny waists.
