The Valentino Spring / Summer 2011 Campaigns Are Simply Darling Black & White Portraits! LOVE!
My Thursday inspiration came in the form of Valentino’s Spring / Summer 2011 campaign. Featuring the extraordinarily beautiful Freja Beha Erichsen, Caroline Brasch-Nielsen and Julia Saner; the striking black and white portraits were shot by David Sims.
With delicate lace, ruffles, tulle and floral embellishment; the Valentino Spring / Summer 2011 collection can only be described as divine! And the advertising campaign perfectly showcases the classic beauty yet youthful, fresh edge that the collection exuded. Looks are belted high on the waist; hair is pulled back yet messy and sunglasses make a serious statement.

Across the Spring / Summer 2011 collections, designers embraced colour with a loving intensity.
From gorgeous shades of pink and aqua to crisp perfect white, the coming Spring / Summer season is set to be a courageously colourful affair. However, it was one particular colour that seemed to steal the spotlight… orange!
Orange is bold, vibrant and zesty. And the perfect colour for summer. It creates a youthful flare and is the perfect colour to wear with a darling summer glow. From tangerine to blood orange; go high-glamour in a striking orange dress with a contrasting bold colour handbag – i.e. in hot pink or gold – for maximum impact. Alternatively, why not incorporate zest into your accessories. Nothing says classic chic like an Orange Hermès Birkin (a girl can dream!).
Last week, Drew Barrymore (pictured above) attended the 50th Anniversary of Covergirl Cosmetics in West Hollywood. Wearing an orange look from the Jil Sander Spring / Summer 2011 collection; Barrymore was simply glowing. The floor-length strapless gown in a streamlined silhouette and popping burst of tangerine intensity made for a dramatic red-carpet moment! Love Jil Sander S/S/11! xx

Colour; High Glamour; Effortless Sophistication… Fashion Advertising At Its Best
Major Fashion Houses Release their S/S11 Ad Campaigns…
If you want to lounge by the pool with Gucci and ooze pure siren appeal or/ channel Betty Paige a la Dior style; the Spring / Summer 2011 campaigns will carry you away on a high fashion fantasy.
Featuring IT models of the moment, from Karolina Kurkova to Karlie Kloss and Anja Rubik, the campaigns have been captured by some of the most renowned fashion photographers working today – Steven Meisel for Dior and Mert & Marcus who lensed the campaigns for Miu Miu, Givenchy and Gucci.
I especially love Fendi’s S/S11 collection and the photo campaign featured above. Anja Rubik returns for a third consecutive season as the face of Fendi. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld, Rubik is ultra chic and just stunning for the luxury brand. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE FENDI S/S11!
