Chic This Week

The Best Dressed Ladies Of The Week Are…

Kate Bosworth, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester & Kylie Minogue all stepped out looking stunning this week in some of my favourite designer looks from the Spring / Summer 11 & Autumn / Winter 10 collections!

The looks on the catwalk…

1>> Kate Bosworth looked divine in an Erdem Spring / Summer 2011 look. The white lace and red embroidered flowers are sophisticated, feminine and simply perfect!

2>> Meanwhile, Blake Lively was style personified in Versace. This Gossip Girl’s fashion style is continually evolving and I am loving her red carpet looks of late.

3>> While in Madrid for ‘Herbal Essences’; another Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, wore a black dress from the Versus Autumn / Winter 2010 collection. A classic little black dress at it’s best!

4>> And finally, Kylie Minogue performed at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade wearing a look from the Chanel Fall 2010 collection. The tweed coat with faux fur trims looks delightfully warm yet oh-so chic!

Who is your best dressed this week? xx

Prada Perfection in today’s Espresso Shot of News

Eva Mendes Wears Prada

Eva Mendes stepped out recently in a striking look from the eye-popping Prada Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Looking every bit the polished movie starlet that she is; Mendes kept the look streamlined and chic – pairing it with classic black heels, natural make-up and flowing hair. The Prada colourful strapless dress hugged Mendes’ curves perfectly and made me love this dress even more! The horizontal stripes, monkey and swirl print could be hard to pull off… but Mendes has done it to perfection! Love!

This dress will be available in Prada stores from February next year and will be around £1010. The yellow, lime, jade and black will definitely make a statement in any Summer wardrobe.

About Prada’s Spring / Summer 2011 Collection

One of the standouts of Milan Fashion Week, Prada’s collection was inspired by Latin America. A feast for the eyes, the collection included everything from monkey and banana prints to stripes, florescent coloured furs, and shapes that took inspiration from uniforms – prisoner, postman, sailor, to name but a few. Adventure, fun and eye-popping colour…  Miuccia Prada’s exuberance has done it again!

Miuccia Prada’s said of the collection, “It’s time to be bold”. And bold it is…

But it was the accessories that really caught my eye. Below are a couple of my favourites… (that pink clutch is perfection!) xx

Monday Make-up Spotlight…

Statement Lips At Fendi

Fendi’s Spring / Summer 2011 collection (pictured above) popped with striking lip colours that just make you want to kiss! Shades of fluorescent melon, cerise, and fuchsia were hand-mixed by Make-up artists to achieve these luscious statement lips. Hair was straight and left down while eyes were left natural; drawing all focus to those spectacular lips!  So don’t shy away from the make-up spotlight; make your lips hard to miss!

Dark Eyes A La Chanel

Season after season nothing says sexy like smoky, dark eyes. Chanel perfected this look, bringing drama, edge and mysterious beauty to its Spring / Summer 2011 collection (pictured below). Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Make-Up, Peter Philips, used an emerald tinged onyx black shade on eyes. Hair was perfectly neat while lips and cheeks were kept natural with just a little rosy shimmer. When emphasising the smoky eye, expect a dark, alluring summer!

In The Pink At Nina Ricci

Going pink from lash to brow, Nina Ricci’s collection was all about the eyelids (pictured below). Pretty, feminine and whimsical; the make-up and styling perfectly accompanied the look and feel of the collection. Mascara and eyeliner were kept to a minimum, drawing you in to the models’ lovely big eyes. Porcelain skin and messily swept back hair also hit just the right spot. For oh so pretty lids, make it pink!
