‘Viva La Revolucion’ – Vogue Australia

Bold, Vibrant Colour; Eccentric Prints & Patterns; Incredible Location…

‘Viva La Revolucion’ is a feast for the eyes of some of the most exquisite looks from the Spring / Summer 2011 collections.

Today I brought the March issue of Vogue Australia and instantly fell in love with the feature editorial – ‘Viva La Revolucion’.  And that cover! This gorgeous cover is one of my favourite Vogue Australia covers of all time! I love the model; the pose; the use of colour; and how there are no words advertising the contents – just the bold image and ‘Vogue’ title. So strikingly beautiful!

Featuring Alina Baikova, the editorial was shot on location in Mexico by Nicole Bentley. With looks from Prada, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Giambattista Valli, Bally and Mulberry; ‘Viva La Revolucion’ is a celebration of intoxicating colour.

Be inspired for next season with bold colour blocking, mixed prints and some darling hats….

Happy Saturday! xx

Gorgeous In Gucci…

Glamorous, Striking, Powerful, Sexy = Gucci

Lara Stone looks spectacular in Gucci as she graces the cover of Vogue Paris February 2011 issue…

Wearing my favourite dress from the Gucci Spring / Summer 2011 collection; Lara Stone was photographed by Mario Sorrenti posing in front of a gorgeous flower garden. With popping purple eye shadow, pouting red lips and her tousled blonde hair; Stone looks the epitome of Spring goddess. The dress; Stone; and cover design; are simply divine! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS COVER!

Gucci Spring / Summer 2011

Opening with an electric bolt of colour (in the form of an orange blazer, violet strapless top, gold belt and green trousers); Gucci’s S/S11 collection saw a return to high voltage glamour. The collection exuded a spirit reminiscent of Yves Saint Laurent.“I pushed the accelerator on the provocation“, said Frida Giannini of the collection.

Splitting the collection into three distinct segments, it featured jewel colour combinations, camel and black before finishing with bright tribal inspired cocktail dresses. Dresses were woven with leather while jewels and feathers added a spectacular dash of detailing. It was glamorous tribal energy at its best! Dark orange, gold, emerald and black made for an impressive ending statement to the collection.

Are you loving or loathing the Gucci S/S 11 collection? xx
