Statement Lips At Fendi
Fendi’s Spring / Summer 2011 collection (pictured above) popped with striking lip colours that just make you want to kiss! Shades of fluorescent melon, cerise, and fuchsia were hand-mixed by Make-up artists to achieve these luscious statement lips. Hair was straight and left down while eyes were left natural; drawing all focus to those spectacular lips! So don’t shy away from the make-up spotlight; make your lips hard to miss!
Dark Eyes A La Chanel
Season after season nothing says sexy like smoky, dark eyes. Chanel perfected this look, bringing drama, edge and mysterious beauty to its Spring / Summer 2011 collection (pictured below). Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Make-Up, Peter Philips, used an emerald tinged onyx black shade on eyes. Hair was perfectly neat while lips and cheeks were kept natural with just a little rosy shimmer. When emphasising the smoky eye, expect a dark, alluring summer!

In The Pink At Nina Ricci
Going pink from lash to brow, Nina Ricci’s collection was all about the eyelids (pictured below). Pretty, feminine and whimsical; the make-up and styling perfectly accompanied the look and feel of the collection. Mascara and eyeliner were kept to a minimum, drawing you in to the models’ lovely big eyes. Porcelain skin and messily swept back hair also hit just the right spot. For oh so pretty lids, make it pink!

Succulent Dark Lips

There is nothing sexier than a stunning dark red lip. This Autumn / Winter we see a return to luscious, dark lips in succulent berry tones and polished red hues.
Luscious Berry Lips
As seen at Dior’s Autumn / Winter 2010 RTW collection, deep, rich hues make a stunning statement. Dior used a matte stain to achieve a wine toned pout. Also seen at Missoni and Richard Nicoll – the berry lip took on slightly different forms. At Missoni lips were soft, velvety and very dark (think blackberries) while at Richard Nicoll, lips were lighter (almost plumy) with a sheer gloss.
Statement Red Lips
Red Lips made a dramatic accompaniment to the Chanel Fall 2010 couture show. “We wanted to have one makeup element stand out without taking away the focus from the collection,” -Peter Philips, lead makeup artist.

Few icons in history have channelled pure siren appeal like Brigitte Bardot. With her bold sexy eye make-up, unkept bed hair and smoldering pout – men adore her while women around the world aspire to emulate her beauty. Several Fall 2010 shows revisited this classic look with an edgy, modern take. Versace and Blumarine were two shows enhanced by this sharp make-up look. At Versace the look was toned down while at Blumarine the eyes took a turn on the dramatic side.
