Mad About Prints

Prints turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Extravagant, charismatic and daring- the perfect print can be quite simply breathtaking.

From Salvatore Ferragamo to Stella McCartney, Giorgio Armani to Isabel Marant, patterned pieces are perfectly showcased with joyful panache in this divine editorial.

With a pop art twist, these beautiful black & white photographs of Abbey Lee Kershaw for the May issue of Numéro, have vibrant bursts of unexpected colour (care of Illustrator Mel Kadel) to further enlighten these dazzling prints.

From a floral fantasy to classical polka dots – these prints conjour imagery of decadent holiday dressing with stylish flair. Flawless make-up and windswept hair complete Kershaw’s impeccable styling.

The Great Gatsby

Be inspired by the exhilarating glamour & architectural cuts of Ralph Lauren’s beautiful tribute to opulent 1920’s & 30’s dressing…

When Diane Keaton stepped out over the weekend wearing a stunning suit from Ralph Lauren’s Spring / Summer 2012 runway show, she once again shone the spotlight on this sensational collection. Attending the Annual White House Correspondents dinner in Washington, Keaton’s impeccable style had a timeless, dramatic edge; while evoking the iconic look of her much beloved character ‘Annie Hall’.

“Authentic haberdashery influences such as pinstripes, pin tucks and slick metallic neckties create a Prohibition-era take on the classic three piece suit, while soft shades of blue and ivory keep trousers and double-breasted jackets feeling unmistakably feminine.”
– RalphLauren.co.uk

Sleek, streamlined yet inherently feminine, the Ralph Lauren Spring collection paid tribute to the intoxicating glamour of the 1920’s and 30’s. “For Spring 2012, I was inspired by a romantic kind of nonchalance – an effortless glamour that is always timeless.” – Ralph Lauren

While stunning bejewelled eveningwear left us breathless, menswear-inspired suits were equally mesmerising. Sharply cut suits were sophisticated, chic and powerful. Clean lines emphasised exquisite tailoring and equally flattering silhouettes.

May Inspiration

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
– Coco Chanel

Happy Monday & welcome to a brand new week! And the beginning of the lovely month of May (well almost!).

My May confession…. I want to paint the town red! I cannot seem to get enough of this bold, alluring shade! The colour of love, passion and seduction – it has that unmistakable va-va-voom. From my fashion choices to accessories and my upcoming CaraGray.com collection (which you may have seen an outtake from on Instagram &  Twitter yesterday) – I simply cannot get enough of ravishing red.
