Tim Gunn is the endearing, patient and ever encouraging co-host and mentor of Project Runway. With his signature statements ‘make it work’ and ‘go, go go!’ – Tim Gunn is one of the main reasons to watch!
Season after season of Project Runway he entertains, makes us laugh and brings that unmistakeable Tim Gunn poise, style and extensive panache of words to our screens. Always immaculate in a suit and tie – his taste and style is inspirational to both men and women.
With a resume of two hit television series (Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style and Project Runway) as well as a best-selling book (Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste, and Style)… quite simply put he is a fashion and style expert. Giving his highly regarded opinion to the Project Runway contestants, Gunn is always calm, understanding and unbiased. Even with those difficult ones (remember Kenley Collins from season 5)!
Watching Gunn recently on Oprah, helping men to reinvent their look in ‘Make Over My Man’, cemented his status as a genuine sweetie! Working with each man’s personality, Gunn instigated potentially life changing transitions with unbelievable results. In his own show, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style, he has helped many women regain their confidence while showing them how they may look and feel their best. With his charming and honest approach, Gunn is able to connect with people and genuinely help.
Gunn was on the faculty of Parsons The New School for Design for almost twenty-four years. In 2000, Gunn was appointed Chair of the Department of Fashion Design. During his term, Parsons become the leader of fashion design education in America and arguably the world. He is now Honorary Chair of Fashion Design at the school. He is also the Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne Inc; assisting and developing the creativity of the companies’ portfolio of brands.

I love Tim, he brings ‘Project Runway’ to life. In terms of personalities, I’m a big fan of Grace Coddington (esp. after seeing ‘The September Issue’) and Catherine Baba.
