Bright, refreshing and seductively rich – Donna Karan’s red shadow is berry chocolaty sweetness

Keeping the rest of the face fresh and dewy, this season the eyes have it. These delightfully fruity shades took centre stage with a hypnotic bang.

Combining deep burgundy and purplish crimson tones, make-up artists at Donna Karan’s Autumn / Winter 2012 collection created beautifully decedent shades – perfect for warming cold days.  

The collection which focused on strong tailoring, featured a rich colour palette of black, grey and red. “We didn’t want to go too retro with a red lip, so we thought, how do you give it an eccentric, modern twist?” – Charlotte Tilbury.

The result is startling pretty and strong; the perfect accompaniment to the collection’s feminine and dramatic appeal…
