While exploring the City of Love, I did fall in love with many passing Parisians’ style. Everywhere you look there are effortlessly gorgeous women on bikes or on foot. With their slightly undone hair, minimal make-up and individual style, they are always seemingly effortlessly chic…

Shopping in Paris…my favourite tourist attraction
One of my favourite places to watch the gorgeous Parisian style is on the Champs-Élysées (of course shopping is also a must at this destination!). Lined with luxury stores, well known brands, speciality shops, cafes, restaurants and more, the 2km long avenue ends at the stunning Arc De Triomphe.

An interesting fact: The Champs-Élysées started out as fields and market garden, but by the 1700’s it was already becoming a very fashionable place to be seen. It has undergone numerous transitions in its lifetime, the most recently being in 1994 when the sidewalks were widened. The arrival of global chain stores in recent years has also changed the dynamic of the Avenue.

Maybe a more important fact: This is where you will find the Louis Vuitton flagship store.  Opened in 2005, it is five-floors of heavenly Vuitton perfection. Designed by the American Architect Eric Carlson it is reputed to be the largest and most successful LV store in the world. Be prepared to cue; however, the wait is well worth it for the architecture, fashion brilliance and sheer splendour that awaits you inside.

And Finally My Recommendation:
Take a leisurely sunset stroll along the avenue, window shop, enjoy a delicious pastry and indulge in all things decadently Parisian chic. You will be inspired. x
