Dear Lovely Readers,

Oh how I have missed you! It has been such a big week and I am delighted to be back and writing to you all now.

You may have seen that last week Uptown Twirl was experiencing some ‘technical difficulties.’ I am so pleased that these issues have now been resolved and that regular Uptown Twirl Articles will be back from tomorrow!

My other delightful news is that I spent the last four days on a mini-break in Melbourne {my favourite city in Australia}! I adore this fashionable city with it’s gorgeous food, beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere and I highly recommend it as a must visit! These were just a couple of photos I captured on Instagram while I was away.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Love Cara xx

What I Wore…

The day after my Birthday Shopping Spree!

cara gray outfit 3 What I Wore...

I have had a truly wonderful week! Last week I turned 26 and I had a positively brilliant birthday! It also marked the ‘half way’ point of my pregnancy.

For my birthday I was truly spoiled. I received many beautiful gifts (many of which I wore today!) and also received quite a few David Jones Gift Vouchers – which I very much enjoyed spending on my Shopping Spree Sunday.

Today I wore my new blue and white striped Seafolly dress; Mimco yellow ballet flats; Mimco long white necklace; and Lancome L’Absolu Rouge lipstick in shade 134.

As many of you may already know…. I love a beautiful stripe. So when I saw this Seafolly dress yesterday it was love at first sight. Classic, elegant and with a chic minimalism –stripes are one of my wardrobe must-haves. The loose ‘beachy’ silhouette of this dress is perfect for my growing bubby bump and it is also the perfect length (at 5’4″ most maxi dresses are too long for me)…

What I Wore…

cara gray outfit 1 What I Wore…To my niece, Isabella’s 9th Birthday party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Surfer’s Paradise…

Inspired by this beautiful sunshine filled day, I decided to embrace the colours which always remind me of delightful Summer… brilliant watermelon and zesty lemon.

I had a busy morning shopping at Marina Mirage; then went for a gorgeous walk along Surfer’s Paradise beach front; before a lovely lunch with family.

I wore my Witchery Watermelon shift dress with my black Prada handbag; Tiffany & Co Sunglasses; Nine West Ballet Flats; and Sussan lemon cardigan. With my baby bump now becoming quite prominent, I have embraced sweet shift dresses in bright colours and dramatic prints…

Hope you are all having a wonderful Weekend! xx

P.S. if you are planning a visit to the Gold Coast, iconic Surfers Paradise beach & Marina Mirage are both a must on the itinerary… xx
